Inspired Spaces

My office has been in need of a serious makeover! Thanks honey for helping me move furniture!

This precious piece of art was made as a Christmas gift from the talented Whitney Todd. Whit, you inspire us so much with your talent!

Toys!

So I was doing some last minute shopping at Dollar General (my new favorite place to shop:)) and I came across this little jewel. This $5 weaving loom reminded my of a kit my sister used to have when we were growing up.The only thing I can recall making from it was a hair tie. I sat down the other night to attempt my first pot holder. It took an entire episode of What Not to Wear. Cheers to embracing our inner-child.

for the love of paper

Okay peeps, it's time to get crafty. I found this paper ornament idea from familyfun.com
My students did these with construction paper last week and I decided to get flouncy with some double-sided scrapbook paper. I think they turned out pretty cute. You should totally try it. Note: I used ribbon instead of staples to give it some homemade flare. Happy crafting~

ginger fun

So since John and I have been married we've started new traditions every year. We stumbled across a box kit gingerbread house. We couldn't pass it up so for our date night this week we made our first cookie house. We ended up with a little roof leakage and a sliding wreath.
